Dr. Jason King is a nationally recognized dynamic trainer and established clinician, supervisor, educator, consultant, and qualitative researcher. He holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Master of Counseling in Mental Health Counseling. He is state licensed and nationally board certified. Dr. King served as a Behavioral Health Clinical Panel Member for Stanford University's Health Policy Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research. In this role, he assisted in investigating community-level quality indicators related to suicidal ideation, severe mental illness, substance use, depression, anxiety, adjustment, and psychotic disorders, and intimate partner violence and abuse. He also collected data for the American Psychiatric Association’s Routine Clinical Practice field trials that informed the DSM-5 revision process (page 914 lists him as a Collaborating Investigator). In 2012, Dr. King received the AMHCA Mental Health Counselor of the Year Award and for eight years, he served as the Governor-appointed member of the Utah licensing board for counselors, with six of those years as chairperson
